(yes that was a while ago!)
Simon has also spent many years working on hard-hitting public sector employer marketing campaigns
Live events have always been a passion for Simon and he has organised the UPA / UHR conferences for many years, the West London Mental Health Awards, TFL’s HR Services Awards and many other training and conference events and for the last 15 years Simon in his previous role at Havas, Simon was responsible for the Heist Awards, the flagship awards for education marketing which have just celebrated their 29th year...
Simon is also a Trustee / Board Director of LGBTFoundation
Established in 1975, LGBT Foundation exists to support the needs of the diverse range of people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans. We believe in a fair and equal society where all LGBT people can achieve their full potential. #EqualityWins underpins much of what we do and we aim to be; ‘here if you need us.’
We are a nationally significant charity firmly rooted in our local communities of Greater Manchester and provide a wide range of evidence-based and cost effective services.
Each year, we serve over 40,000 people, achieving an average 98% satisfaction rating, as well as providing information to over 600,000 individuals online. As a result, we serve more LGBT people than any other charity of our kind in the UK.
Throughout all of our work, we support LGBT people to increase their skills, knowledge and self-confidence to improve and maintain their health and wellbeing. We also work in partnership with others to build strong, cohesive and influential LGBT communities.
Working together, we are changing LGBT lives for the better and securing a safe, equal and healthy future for all LGBT people.

Broadcast moments!
On April 8th 2013 I got a call from the BBC asking me to do an interview at 1pm on the Shelagh Fogarty show... unknown to any of us, Margaret Thatcher was to die that morning and the news broke as I sat in the studio.
Then Tuesday afternoon, another call, can you come in and do breakfast on Wednesday am... and talk about Paris Browns resignation and the reasons people should be cautious of what is on their social platforms. I shared the sofa with Cllr Jake Morrison, the youngest City Councillor in England. Here is the interview:

Paris Brown - part 2
No sooner had I got back from Breakfast and the lovely red sofas, when a call came in from 5 Live asking me to do the Shelagh Fogarty interview that had been shelved on Monday. You can hear (and see on the webcam that they didn';t tell me was there!) it here...
